El Paso Zoo: Half Price Military, Fire and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day - August 21

El Paso, Texas – The El Paso Zoo will be holding its Military, Fire and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 21.  In honor of those who serve and protect our community and our nation, ticket prices are at half off regular admission price.

We have invited our friends from local law enforcement agencies and fire departments, as well as soldiers from Fort Bliss to display the equipment they use on the job everyday.  Visitors will get to meet our local heroes and see what they do up-close!

The following ticket prices will be ½ price on August 21 only:

Ages 2 & under .................................Free
Ages 3 to 12 .....................................$6.00 $3.00
Ages 13 to 59..................................$10.00   $5.00
Zoological Society Members ............Free

The El Paso Zoo opens at 9:30 a.m. and the ticket booth closes at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 


The El Paso Zoo is a thirty five-acre home to about 240 species of animals. Approximately 500 mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds, 700 fish and 500 invertebrates live in a variety of natural habitat exhibits including a Reptile House, South American Pavilion, Americas Aviary, Cisneros Paraje, Birds of Prey, Forest Atrium, Asian Grasslands and an Elephant Complex. The El Paso Zoo is a member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA).   With its more than 200 accredited members, AZA is a leader in global wildlife conservation.
