What: Celebration of African American History Month

When: Thursday, February 9, 2012, (10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

Where: Veterans Recreation Center, 5301 Salem St.

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will host a

Black History Month Program on February 9, 2012 at the Veterans Recreation

Center, 5301 Salem St.

The event is free and open to the public with the one hour program

starting at 10:30 a.m.

Table displays will be the backdrop of the event featuring the works

and collections from Historical Civil Rights events, Buffalo Soldiers,

Tuskegee Airman, and other African American contributions.

All displays will be available for viewing until 3:00 p.m. the same day.
