Energy Project Stimulates Economy, Creates Jobs

WHAT:            Energy Project Update

WHEN:            11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 1st, 2012)

WHERE:           Clardy Fox Branch Library, 5515 Robert Alva

WHY:               The City of El Paso has completed energy-efficient facility improvements at 44 of its buildings. The project helped boost the local economy through the creation and retention of more than 35 jobs and $2.8 million in community spending.  It was carried out by City contractor Johnson Controls and was made possible through a multi-million Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
