What: Holiday Lights Parade

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will once again be hosting the Holiday Lights Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2009 in downtown El Paso. The parade will start (5:55 p.m.) after the Christmas Tree is lighted in San Jacinto Plaza.
This will be the 11th year of the parade and workshops have been set up by Parks and Recreation staff to assist individuals in the parade with requirements, tips and ideas.
The workshops will cover rules and regulations, parade theme requirements, and a power point presentation of past parades.
There will also be insight on how to construct a float and walking or marching units there will be vendors in attendance to order lights for the parade participants.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
