What: Skate Board Event

When: Friday, October 9, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Carolina Recreation Center, 563 N. Carolina St.

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will

host a skateboarding event from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday,

October 9, 2009 at the Carolina Recreation Center, 563 N.

Carolina St.

A Skate Contest will start at 6:00 p.m. with registration

beginning at 5:00 p.m. A special presentation of the renowned

"Flip Skateboard Video Premier" will be shown outside in the

Carolina Park and will also debut at 20 locations throughout the

Country this weekend.

Sponsor of the free event is Crook's Skateshop and prizes

will be awarded. Only a limited number of entries will be

accepted.
