WHY:
Workshops will be held every other Wednesday from 6pm-7pm starting on October 28th at the Armijo Recreational Center. These workshops are an exciting educational session aimed at learning the truth about drugs, alcohol, gangs and the consequences of being involved in these activities. These workshops will also teach on how to have a good relationship with loved ones, learn to respect and be respected and how to eat healthy. There will be talk on the importance of finishing a high school degree, going to college and having goals in life.
Sponsored by the Weed and Seed program that has been awarded to the City of El Paso’s Neighborhood Services Division. Weed and Seed, a community-based strategy sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), is an innovative, comprehensive multiagency effort focused on law enforcement, crime prevention, and community revitalization in communities.
